Franklin Center Project
I recently got asked to help paint the Santa Barbara Franklin Neighborhood Center. The youth center wanted art for the kids; With different concepts going around the center, they gave me a room for myself, which got me stoked! So i decided to continue with my 'DUDE' series and paint floating superheroes on all four walls. I had a lot of fun painting the Franklin Center with fellow artists, Manuel Unzueta, Miguel Rodriguez and Ale Real! Special thanks to everyone at the Franklin Center!

SmART Talk | Danny Meza - Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara
Hey everyone! In a couple weeks I will be doing a presentation in conversation with Nathan Vonk for @mcasantabarbara held at @breakfastcultureclub Hope to see and meet some of you there!
Join local artist Danny Meza in conversation with Nathan Vonk, owner of Sullivan Goss - An American Gallery, as they examine Meza’s unique artistic style born out of influences like skateboard graphics, comic books, graffiti, and pop culture experimenting with a wide range of media.
Inspired by MCASB's summer exhibition from Barry McGee, the 2018 smART Talks series features local emerging artists whose work references urban culture in distinctly different ways.
Santa Barbara native Danny Meza received his education in Graphic Design at the Art Institute of California - Los Angeles. After painting murals as a Youth Mentor with high school students, Meza ventured into being a full-time tattoo artist where he applies his graphic design skills along with his illustrative background to create a unique twist to his tattoo body art.
Artists in the 2018 series of smART Talks are represented by Sullivan Goss - An American Gallery as part of Sullivan Goss Extracurricular (SG:Xc), a gallery program taking advantage of off-site pop-up opportunities to build a market for the work of exciting young, emerging artists.
The smART Talks lecture series serves to increase awareness of regional contemporary art through a series of three talks a year by local artists about their work, careers, and creative process. The series, begun in 1996, was created in honor of Helen Rosenberg, mother of Susan Rose, and grandmother of Julie Weiner, and honors artists who live and work in the Santa Barbara area.

Painting From Life
As some of you may know, I have been painting from life every Sunday for a little over a year now. This has been my introduction to Oils and more of a realism style of fine art than my usual wicked illustrations. Here are some from these past few months!
